Our objective is to build a more connected, stronger, prosperous, informed family.  Our roots began in different continents but at some time our modern day heritage, as we know it, stretched out new roots in Corydon, Kentucky.  Many of us can trace our roots back to Hanna (born in 1820) the mother of Lewis Forester Dixon; which is the husband of Caroline Williams.  Others can trace their roots back to Wesley Dorsey (born 1815) the father of Frances (Dorsey) Powell; which is the wife of Mack Powell; which are the parents of Hosie Powell the husband of Eliza (Allen) Powell (daughter of William (Bill) Allen.  Other lines may trace back their heritage to the Civil War Soldier Archie Powell the husband of Jennie Dorsey (the daughter of Wesley Dorsey) and the father of Henry Babe Powell; which is the husband of Carrie Lee Dixon.  Still others trace their heritage to George Morton Rankin son of Sterling and Henrettia Hayes, the husband of Lucreasia (Powell) Morton; daughter of Mack Powell.  There is a very good chance that if you have roots in Corydon, Kentucky, we are family!

We hope to bring all these branches together and unite and fellowship and learn from one another and teach future generations our heritage.  While many members of the family are very informed of where they come from, there are others who seek that background information.  We now have family all over the United States and the world.  Many have started new families of their own and are doing quite well.  We hope to stay connected and to network and to build upon our strengths to create a better future for us all!
